What is the difference between a trading address and a registered address?

The registered address is the official address of a company listed with Companies House, where legal documents and official communications are sent.

The trading address is where the day-to-day operations of the company occur, such as selling goods or providing services.

These addresses may differ because a company might choose a different location for its operations, while still preferring official communications to be directed to a centralised or administrative location.

For example, a company might have its registered address at its headquarters in London but conduct its daily business from a separate office or retail space in Manchester.
