The good news keeps coming for Red Flag Alert!
Our Managing Director, Richard West, was recently named as one of Insider’s Business Magazine’s North West’s “42 under 42”, their annual list of inspirational business figures from across Manchester and beyond. Every year Insider Media profile some of the top entrepreneurs within specific areas of the UK and invite them to a special evening to celebrate innovation and growth, with a toast to their success.
This year was the 30th anniversary of the 42 under 42 list, so the event was even more exceptional than usual. Entrepreneurs and business leaders from across the UK were invited to a formal dinner and drinks reception, to honour their amazing achievements, and to applaud the good work that Insider Media continues to do within the UK’s business community. The evening was a great opportunity to network with the other inductees from 2023 and meet those selected in previous years.
About Richard West
Richard West is the Managing Director here at Red Flag Alert and joined the business in 2013. He holds over fifteen years of experience in sales leadership, across three continents, and has generated over £20,000,000 in recurring revenue.
From a three-person business in a basement in Stockport, he’s helped Red Flag Alert become a UK leader in business data intelligence and analytics, offering highly intuitive technology for predicting the early warning signs of financial distress, insolvency, and growth both domestically and internationally.
The team is now nearly fifty people, with an office in Central Manchester, and continues to innovate and grow. With new international capabilities and a scorecard accuracy rating that currently sits at 92%, our software offering has never been stronger. As a testament to this, Red Flag Alert was recently placed on the Tech Climbers 2023 list, with many other top innovators within the Manchester region.
Our recent investment round was also led by Rich. Despite the threat of recession, and a distinct lack of SME financing available when compared with previous years, Red Flag Alert secured £4.5 million in Series A investment, with Foresight and Uncapped. This money will be used in many different areas, with a strong focus on growth, and to support Red Flag Alert's aim to become the UK’s leading provider of business data intelligence and analytics to predict growth, global compliance risk and insolvency.

Red Flag Alert want to be the market leader in our space, and we’re doing that by employing some incredibly smart people and having a unique product offering that delights our customers. Our recent £4.5million investment from Foresight and Uncapped unlocked a lot of gateways for us, and it’s we plan to use this money to expand into 2024 and beyond.”
